HOPKINSVILLE, KENTUCKY – A Saturday morning shooting in Hopkinsville sent a bullet through a child’s bedroom wall, narrowly missing the bed and sparking new safety concerns in the community, according to local police.
Bullet Missed Child’s Bed by Inches
The Hopkinsville Police Department told WKDZ Radio that gunfire erupted on Coleman Street, striking two parked vehicles before one round traveled into a nearby home and lodged in the wall above a child’s bed.
Investigators said no one was injured, but the shot came dangerously close to where the child had been sleeping only hours earlier.
