House destroyed by fire off Trenton Road, 2 dogs and snake rescued

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A house was destroyed by a fire Tuesday evening in a neighborhood off Trenton Road.

At 6:20 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to Fossil Drive, according to a CFR report. Firefighters arrived to heavy flames coming from the back side and roof of the two-story home.

Crews began an interior attack and primary search, and two dogs and a snake were rescued. The fire was called under control at 6:49 p.m., and investigators arrived on scene as crews continued to monitor for hot spots, the report said.

All five residents along with all pets were safe and accounted for, and the American Red Cross was contacted to assist the displaced family. The cause of the fire is still under investigation…
