MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — With the demolition of a Montgomery County Highway Department building and the announcement of an open house on a Clarksville transit center, there have been some moves surrounding transportation in Montgomery County.

“Every road paved, every bridge repaired, and every improvement we make builds on the strong legacy of excellence this department has carried for generations,” the Montgomery County Highway Department said in a social media post about the demolition. “We’re not just tearing down old walls — we’re laying the foundation for the future.”

Separately, the City of Clarksville said Clarksville Transit System will host a Transit Center Relocation Community Open House to share information about the possible future site of the Transit Center. It’s been scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 13 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the CDE Lightband Office — located at 2021 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard — in the Lisenbee Conference Room.
