CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – Some road closures and traffic interruptions are expected in Clarksville this weekend ahead of a foot race.
The city expects more than 900 runners to participate in the Clarksville Half Marathon & 5K on Saturday.
The Clarksville Police Department announced Wednesday that the following areas will see closures on Saturday:
- Riverside Drive southbound lanes will close at 5 a.m.
- Downtown streets & APSU area will start closing at about 6:30 a.m.
- Liberty Park will close until runners clear Cumberland Dr.
- Highway 48 near Liberty Park and Public Square will close and reopen after the event.
- Parking along the race route will be blocked starting at 4 a.m.
