Clarksville mother found guilty after son starved to death

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The jury has issued a guilty verdict for the Clarksville mother accused of starving her teenage son to death more than three years ago.

On Friday, Oct. 31, the jury found Cheyenne guilty of reckless homicide and aggravated child neglect in connection with Kadaris’ death.

The Clarksville Police Department said officers responded to a home on Virginia Terrace, where first responders found 13-year-old Kadaris Maddox — who suffered from cerebral palsy — dead on July 6, 2022.

Cheyenne was arrested for five counts of child abuse and neglect that day, but those charges were the result of authorities discovering other children living in a home filled with trash. She later bonded out of jail…
