Clarksville council OKs electric bill extension for residents on 1st reading amid government shutdown

As the government shutdown continues, Clarksville’s Gas and Water Department is trying to ease the burden by allowing customers to extend their payments by 14 days.

During the Clarksville City Council’s Nov. 6 meeting, the first reading of an ordinance that allows the Gas and Water Department to change its policy as more people fall under hardships was passed.
