Trailer full of trash catches fire at Bi-County Transfer Station in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A trailer full of trash caught fire this morning at the Bi-County Transfer Station on Highway Drive.

At 9:46 a.m. crews were dispatched to the center for a report of flames coming from the pit area, according to a Clarksville Fire Rescue report. Upon arrival, there was visible smoke coming from a trash transport trailer in the pit.

Crews got water on the fire while Bi-County employees hooked up to the trailer to move it away from the structure. The trailer was dumped and the fire was called under control as crews continued to keep water on the piles of trash. The fire was called out at 10:15 a.m., CFR reported

There were no injuries, and the Transfer Station wasn’t damaged…
