A tragic incident unfolded on Highway 41 in Robertson County as a head-on collision between a car and a pickup truck claimed the life of a woman and critically injured a 12-year-old girl. The crash occurred last night near Worsham Springs Road, leading to road closures and emergency response from half of Robertson County’s ambulances, WSMV reports.
The Robertson County Emergency Medical Services disclosed that the crash happened at around 7:10 p.m., trapping multiple individuals in the wreckage, resulting in multiple injuries and the death of a woman, according to WKRN. A 12-year-old girl, whose condition is deemed critical, was transported to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, amidst the chaos several individuals found themselves facing that fateful evening.
Commuters were advised to avoid the area of the crash as Highway 41 was shut down to facilitate the arrival of the first responders and the subsequent investigation.
