Man’s blood alcohol allegedly found to be triple legal limit in Hopkinsville death investigation

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The Christian County Sheriff’s Office received blood results on Saturday from a driver they arrested in late October for allegedly driving under the influence.

At 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 14, deputies arrived at a deadly crash on Lovers Lane near Romeo Drive. They found a 77-year-old man who had died when they arrived. They arrested Douglas Jones for allegedly drinking and driving.

His blood results from the Kentucky State Police Crime Laboratory returned. According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, Jones’s blood alcohol level was allegedly three times the legal limit at the time of the accident.
