Hopkinsville Police arrested 57-year-old Joel Keith McCaskill of Clarksville after he assaulted an officer on Friday.
An officer responded to the parking lot outside of Bealls at the Hopkinsville Towne Center where McCaskill had reportedly thrown a drink can at a car because it was blocking his path. An officer made contact with McCaskill which reportedly led to a physical altercation.
According to witnesses, McCaskill punched the officer in the face unprovoked, and then the officer wrestled him to the ground. McCaskill then bit the officer’s arm which punctured the skin…
