Clarksville police invites caregivers to submit a ‘Special Needs Form’ to help first responders

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Caregivers of people with autism, dementia, people with different communication abilities and other individuals with disabilities can now submit a “Special Needs Form” to Clarksville police.

The Clarksville Police Department announced the initiative Thursday, adding that people can submit the form along with a photo to both the CPD and Clarksville’s Fire Dispatch. The agency said information would be “securely stored” and used by dispatchers to give responding units important details in case they encounter someone who has different communication abilities…
