CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – The Clarksville Police Department is launching a new registry for people with special needs aimed at helping first responders reunite lost people with their caregivers faster.
City of Clarksville Police and Fire Dispatch Cadet Administrator Angee Daniel says her dispatchers often get calls when a person with special needs or memory issues needs help finding their way home.
“People with special needs, family members, they already have a unique set of challenges already,” Daniel said. “If you have your loved one, and they tend to leave the house without you knowing, because you could be asleep, or you could be cooking dinner, and next thing you know, you’re like, ‘Where did they go?’”…
