CHEATHAM COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) — A man convicted of multiple offenses related to a dangerous 2019 pursuit involving a stolen excavator spent several years on the run, but earlier this week, he returned to the Cheatham County jail.
Andrew Henton was driving a truck hauling a stolen excavator in October 2019. Video shows the truck almost running over a Cheatham County deputy before hitting multiple law enforcement vehicles.
The chase crossed into Davidson County and ended when Henton plowed through a crowded Nashville intersection, wrecking numerous cars and injuring multiple people. Authorities arrested Henton and his two associates at gunpoint.

Based on court documents, Henton was convicted in November 2020 of theft, aggravated assault, evading arrest, and smuggling contraband into a penal facility.
