Scotlynn Estates, a proposed mixed use planned unit development on Sweethome Road, was denied a rezoning request by the Cheatham County Commission at its regular meeting Nov. 17.
Roughly 10 people spoke in the public comments section of the meeting to voice opposition to the 197-home proposed plan, submitted by developer John Claxton, who requested rezoning the property at 4055 Sweethome Road from R1 (residential, single-family) to a commercial mixed use planned unit zoning.
