Expect increased patrols from KSP through holiday weekend in Christian County

HOPKINSVILLE, KY – As Kentuckians prepare to gather with loved ones this Thanksgiving, the Kentucky State Police (KSP) is reminding drivers to make safety a top priority before hitting the road. Thanksgiving weekend remains one of the busiest travel periods of the year, with thousands of motorists traveling Kentucky’s interstates, highways and rural roads.

To promote safe travel, KSP will take part in Operation C.A.R.E. (Crash Awareness and Reduction Effort), a national traffic safety initiative coordinated by the International Association of Chiefs of Police. From Wednesday, Nov. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 30, KSP troopers will increase patrols across the commonwealth to identify and deter impaired, distracted and aggressive driving behaviors…
