Wintry mix moves into Middle TN Monday afternoon

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The next storm system to impact Middle Tennessee and southern Kentucky could bring a wintry mix of snow, sleet and rain.

First off, this isn’t expected to cause many impacts. The National Weather Service hasn’t issued any winter weather advisories for the area, and there’s a chance they won’t.

Roads could be slick for folks in southern Kentucky late Monday and into Tuesday morning, but with temperatures expected to stay above freezing, roads will mainly stay wet.

Some areas could see a coating to half an inch of snow on elevated and grassy surfaces. Areas south of Clarksville will see a mix of rain/sleet/snow, and little to no accumulation is expected. Everyone else will see rain.
