The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for much of Western Kentucky early Tuesday morning.
The advisory includes Caldwell, Hopkins, Muhlenburg, Lyon, Calloway, and other counties in the western Kentucky area. Christian, Trigg, and Todd Counties are not included in the advisory at this time. The advisory takes effect at midnight Monday night and continues until 9:00 Tuesday morning.
National Weather Service forecasters from Paducah say the advisory area could receive up to one inch of snow and sleet accumulation and a light glaze of icing. The winter weather is expected to leave slippery roads, bridges, and sidewalks, along with other untreated surfaces.
