Teen arrested after high-speed pursuit from Kentucky into Tennessee

KENTUCKY — A 17-year-old is facing multiple charges after allegedly fleeing from an Adairville police chief during a traffic stop and leading officers on a multi-state pursuit Saturday afternoon.

According to Adairville Police Chief Aaron Ashby, the incident began around 3:53 p.m. when he saw a red 2002 Chevy Silverado driving recklessly southbound on U.S. 431.

Ashby initiated a traffic stop near Smiths Grove Road, but the driver refused repeated orders to exit the vehicle. When Ashby reached inside to unlock the door, the teen reportedly tried to roll the window up with the chief’s arm still inside and then put the truck into drive…
