The Thanksgiving holiday offered no reprieve from the smoke still emanating around Veterans Memorial Park, and one man said that there is more going on than meets the eye.
Steve Williams, whose mother and a 90-year-old grandfather live on Pinewood Drive across Highway 70 from the park, claims he has seen multiple fires coming from the direction of the park and believes someone is setting new fires.
Though the area has experienced heavy rain several times since the smoke was first reported at the beginning of November, it has done little to quell the smoke. Williams asserts there is more than just mulch burning, as the White Bluff government has claimed in recent Facebook posts…
