An investigation started in 2019 culminated this month in Charlotte for one Dickson County business owner.
Teresa Overton, owner of Teresa’s & Com. Antiques & More pleaded no contest to charges of tax evasion and tampering with government records and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation and ordered to pay $10,674 in restitution in the Dickson County Circuit Court in Charlotte on Friday, Dec. 5.
The investigation was conducted by The Tennessee Department of Revenue’s Special Investigation Section. Overton was arrested and indicted in June 2023 on one count of theft of property between $10,000 and $60,000, and nine counts each of tax evasion and tampering with government records.
