Fabco employee charged with assault following attack on coworkers

A suspect is facing multiple charges after allegedly assaulting several workers with a mop and hand magnet at the Fabco manufacturing facility in Springfield on December 6.

According to the initial police report, officers with the Springfield PD arrived at Fabco, a Martinrea facility that produces automotive parts, around 10:09 pm that evening.

Upon arrival, officers discovered several employees restraining the suspect, identified as 18-year-old James S. Harrell Jr, on the ground. Police noted the individual appeared intoxicated, was incoherent and made disorganized statements…
