A Dickson County family is grieving while investigators work the scene of a house fire that claimed the life of an elderly man in the Grindstone Hollow neighborhood.
According to Tennessee City Fire Rescue (TCFR), the call went out Saturday night, Dec. 20 around 10:20 p.m., TCFR crews were dispatched to a house fire on Grindstone Hollow Road. A press release from the Dickson County Sheriff’s Office (DSCO) said a family had been out for the evening and returned to find the home ablaze and their family member, 71-year-old Andrew Kuhn, was still inside the home.
A couple related to Kuhn reportedly told DCSO investigators that they entered the home and found Kuhn, but due to the fire and mobility issues, were unable to rescue him…
