Trailer catches fire in Trane parking lot, employees evacuated as precaution

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A trailer caught fire under downed power lines in the parking lot of Trane on Wilma Rudolph Boulevard Monday afternoon, sending clouds of black smoke into the sky.

At about 3:19 p.m., Clarksville Fire Rescue was dispatched to the incident at Trane, CFR spokesperson Codie Jordan told Clarksville Now. Power lines had fallen onto a trailer of pallets, starting the fire. She said it wasn’t yet determined what caused the lines to fall.

Clarksville Department of Electricity was called to the scene to disconnect and remove the lines so CFR crews could put out the fire, she said. The lines came free during the fire, and CFR was able to put it out by 3:55 p.m…
