CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library hosted their annual Noon Year’s Eve Celebration on Wednesday. Yes, it was New Year’s Eve, but the party didn’t happen at midnight, like the name says, it was a noon party.
More than 1,700 people, most of them children, filled the atrium of the library at Veterans Plaza for music, dancing, treats, crafts and a countdown to a balloon drop of over 1,200 balloons at noon. The event was perfect for families at a more kid-friendly hour other than midnight.
Library Director Christina Riedel said it was a simple, joyous way to start the year off with some hope and fun.
“This year we have big and little kids in our space, having a good time with their family. We have some folks here today that have been attending our adaptive programs with their adults and caregivers. It’s simple crafts, treats, music, a video station, with a little bit dancing and sing-a-longs.” Riedel said…
