Hazardous chemical leaks after Kentucky train crash

A freight train carrying a dangerous chemical derailed in Kentucky, raising immediate concerns for public safety.

According to a report by Just The News, at least 31 cars of a freight train transporting molten sulfur were involved in the incident early Tuesday morning near the Kentucky-Tennessee border. No injuries have been reported as a result of the derailment.

The derailment caused several train cars to tip over, scattering debris across nearby fields, and prompted a temporary “shelter-in-place” order for residents in Todd County, which has since been lifted. The exact cause of the derailment remains unknown at this time.
