Lipstick After Dark member spotlights the program’s work, mission

Lipstick After Dark was established in 2019 to mentor teenage girls, and at Thursday’s Hopkinsville Kiwanis Club meeting, Jacqueline Porchia shared how the program provides guidance to girls as they enter adulthood.

Porchia joined Lipstick After Dark in 2023 as a facilitator. The program was created by social worker Tangela Babb, and 25 girls are currently enrolled in it.

Porchia says the mission of Lipstick After Dark is to create a safe space for girls and help guide them into adulthood. She says they host seminars focusing on cultural education, mental health, bullying, sex education and much more…
