On Monday, Jan. 12, the Montgomery County Commission appointed Montgomery County Sheriff Cpl. Clayton Rudder to replace District 6 Commissioner Michael Lankford.
Lankford resigned his seat when the commission appointed him to fill the position of the late Jeff Burkhart, the State Representative from Montgomery County who died in November.
