NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — With winter weather possible later this week, Middle Tennessee road crews are gearing up now.

In Montgomery County, officials said they’re closely watching the forecast and preparing equipment ahead of time.
Snow, rain mix possible for Wednesday morning commute
Montgomery County Highway Department Communications and Media Coordinator Joshua Peltz said that over the last few years, the county has made significant investments into their winter services, and this year, the county is ready.
Right now, crews are finishing the transition of its fleet to winter operations, which will be completed by Wednesday. They’ve added plows and expanded their salt storage locations. The new locations allow for faster resupply of trucks during storm events and are fully stocked ahead of the season.
