NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — School districts across Middle Tennessee are canceling classes for the rest of the week as downed trees, extreme cold, and ice are keeping campuses shut down.
In Williamson County, secondary and subdivision roads remain slick and covered in debris making travel hazardous.

“One new phenomenon we’ve seen that’s really rare is there’s so much ice on some of those branches on those rural roads that the tree limbs are hanging down so low, buses with a high profile can’t even get through,” Williamson County Schools Superintendent Dr. Jason Golden told News 2.
