Clarksville Fire Rescue seeing more calls about falling on ice, warning residents of the risk for injury

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — First responders in Clarksville are warning residents to be aware of their surroundings after receiving several calls about people falling on icy roads.

Between Wednesday and Thursday, roads have become way more slick than they were last week because rain that fell earlier this week re-froze. Parking lots, driveways, sidewalks and even yards look like ice rinks and remain extremely slippery; many falls have resulted in minor injuries.
