Hillcrest students prepping for first international mission trip

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (KT) — Hillcrest Baptist Church has developed a culture of promoting missions, but Pastor Joe Bufford wants to take that effort to another level by having high school students involved in international missions.

“We have a vision to see all our high school students have the privilege to go on the international mission field before they graduate,” said Bufford. “I feel getting them to the international mission field will increase their awareness of the need for missions. Hopefully we will see students led to the mission field and it will open their eyes to how the rest of the world lives and how we have the privilege of living here.”

Hillcrest typically has 65-70 students (grades six through 12) involved in its Wednesday night activities…
