CMCSS celebrates 100, 101st days of school

The students of the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System not only celebrate the traditional first 100 days of school each year, but they also recognize the 101st day, paying homage to the 101st Airborne Division at Fort Campbell.

Jessica Goldberg, director of CMCSS Marketing and Communications, said on Day 100, some of the students choose to dress up, as if they are 100-years-old, while other place 100 items on their body and clothing, such as stickers and polka dots.

“All of the elementary schools celebrate 100 days of school,” Goldberg said in an email. “It is a fun way for young students to celebrate being 100 days smarter!”

Several schools choose to also celebrate the 101st day of school, paying tribute to the many Fort Campbell families throughout the district…
