Members of the Houston County Area Chamber of Commerce met on Thursday, Feb. 12 at the Erin City Hall. Once January minutes and financial reports were approved, special guests were introduced. One of the special guests was Jill Ligion who was present representing the Our Wish HC and their upcoming Ability Games planned for April 18. The Chamber is in support of the event and has plans to set up an activity booth that day.
The kickoff breakfast is scheduled for Friday, March 13 at Erin City Hall. This day is the start of the Silent Auction which continues until the night of the Irish Banquet held on Friday, March 20. So be sure to donate your items to Erin City Hall ahead of March 13. Then be sure to come in during Irish Week to bid on items. Money raised helps fund events the Chamber is involved in throughout the year.
This year the VFW will be assisting in several ways throughout the parade day to help support the Chamber, along with having a booth set up in town. As this year’s parade honors America’s 250th, be sure to watch for a special float honoring Houston County Veterans…
