Christian Fiscal Court approves several items regarding county buildings

Christian County Fiscal Court approved several items regarding county buildings at Tuesday’s meeting, and heard some updates regarding the pending renovation of the historic courthouse.

First up on the agenda was approval of a contract with Advanced Mechanical Contractors to update the HVAC systems at the Christian County Jail, with Judge-Executive Jerry Gilliam saying this is part of their ongoing effort to keep their facilities well maintained.

Also approved was the jail fee schedule and approval of updates to the Jail Policy and Procedures. Magistrates also approved a change to the resolution regarding the Weber Street building, which is about to go up for purchase. Gilliam says the new language will allow the Fiscal Court to regain ownership of the building in the event it becomes dilapidated…
