BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (FOX 56) — Federal investigators brought answers to a Kentucky family who’ve waited nearly 30-years to learn what happened to their 7-year-old daughter.
It was around 12:30 p.m. on July 24, 1996, when 7-year-old Morgan Violi was abducted from the apartment complex parking lot where she lived while playing with her friends and sisters. The man who took her was driving a 1978 Chevy Van that was believed to have been stolen out of Dayton, Ohio, a day prior.
According to the FBI, numerous witnesses reported seeing a white man grab Violi, place her in the passenger side of his van, and speed off.
“That van was found south of Nashville two days later, abandoned,” United States Attorney for the Western District of Kentucky Kyle G. Bumgarner said in a news conference on Feb. 27.
Three months later, her remains were found in Robertson County, Tennessee…
