CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Rebecca Janssen has announced her candidacy for the Montgomery County Commission in District 7.
A member of the modern gig economy, Janssen said, she works as a tax pro, campaign manager and social media manager. She also co-owns a small business coordinating craft shows in Nashville. She has been part of the Montgomery County Democratic Party communications team since 2023 and is currently first vice chair of communications.
Janssen has a degree in Modern Languages from Liverpool John Moores University. She is originally from the United Kingdom but relocated to the United States in 2001 and has been a Tennessee resident since 2007. A mom of three, she said she and her husband moved their family to Woodlawn from Dickson County in 2016, attracted by the beautiful surroundings, affordable housing, and good schools.
