Game Nine: UC (11) vs Bowling Green State (1) Wednesday 3pm
The Bearcats opened the home portion of their schedule with a dominating performance against the BGSU Falcons. Freshman Connor Blue got the start and allowed just one run in his four innings. While he was doing his thing, the UC offense was able to grab a 3-1 lead after RBI hits by Derrick Pitts, Jack Natili, and Pitts again.
It was 4-1 after Natili brought home another with a sac fly, but the Bearcats had yet to bust it open. That finally came in the fifth inning. Ryan Tyranski led off with an inside-the-park homer and Quinton Coats put it away with a towering 3-run homer later in the inning to make it 9-1. UC would add single runs in the sixth and seventh to secure the 11-1 victory by run-rule…
