Dollar General says it is official—the new store on Lafayette Road in Herndon is now open for business.
That store is located at 10820 Lafayette Road in Christian County, and is providing much-needed access to groceries and other household essentials to the community of Herndon. According to a news release, Dollar General will host a grand opening event on Saturday starting at 8 a.m., where they hand out $10 gift cards to the first 50 customers and Dollar General tote bags to the first 100 customers.
The opening of this store also brings with it new jobs to the community, employing up to 10 people, depending on the needs of the store. The addition of the Herndon store opens the opportunity for schools, nonprofit organizations and libraries within a 15-mile radius of the store to apply for Dollar General Literacy Foundation grants…
