A Hopkinsville woman is walking on air this morning, after winning $500,000 on a scratch-off lottery ticket while stopping for groceries recently.
According to a news release from the Kentucky Lottery, the winner has wisely chosen to remain anonymous, but she says she’s still reeling from the win. It happened when she decided to shop at the Kroger on Skyline Drive instead of her usual store.
She says she had a $20 ticket to cash and said she thought to herself she might as well grab a ticket while she was there. While scratching off that ticket, she realized the number 31 was matching, and then she uncovered the $500,000 top prize directly below…
