SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (WSMV) – About two dozen people gathered outside the Robertson County General Sessions Court on Monday to protest an immigration enforcement operation that took place inside the building last week.
The demonstration came six days after a WSMV4 investigation captured footage showing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents detaining people at the courthouse — sometimes forcefully — after they had appeared in traffic court, pleaded guilty, and paid their fines for driving without a valid Tennessee driver’s license.
