Clarksville police want public input for reaccreditation

The Clarksville Police Department is seeking feedback as the department seeks reaccreditation status through the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies.

The department has been accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) since 2010.

Reaccreditation occurs every four years and involves a thorough review to ensure the department meets the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies’ standards for police authority, performance and responsibilities.

Community can provide feedback online

As part of the reaccreditation process, the public can comment on the department’s performance through a portal on the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies website or the Clarksville Police Department website at https://www.cityofclarksville.com/940/CALEA-Accreditation…
