There is currently a text scam circulating around the area that Todd Countians should be aware of.
Recently, spam numbers claiming to be the Kentucky Driver Licenses Regional Offices are sending fraudulent texts regarding pending traffic violations and requesting fee payment. The Todd County Clerk’s Office shares these texts are a scam, and warns not to click any links from these messages.
In a press release from last year, Kentucky’s Transportation Cabinet shares their agencies do not collect traffic fees or notify customers of violations via text messages.
