During what is typically the wettest time of year, rain has been hard to come by. Nearly the entire Volunteer State is under drought conditions.
The latest drought monitor has more than 85% of Tennessee under abnormally dry or drought conditions. The worst drought is being seen in the southern portions of East Tennessee.
