HOPKINSVILLE, KY (CHRISTIAN COUNTY NOW) – Gov. Andy Beshear announced that 16 projects have been approved throughout Kentucky to receive state funding through the Kentucky Product Development Initiative. This includes a significant amount of money toward development in Christian County.
A news release from the governor’s office says the chosen projects will support future job growth and investment across 18 counties in the commonwealth totaling over $12.4 million in state funding to improve Kentucky’s available sites.
$1.7 million was granted to Christian County through the initiative. This will help the Hopkinsville Industrial Foundation conduct infrastructure improvements at Commerce Park II, which is an over 1,000-acre rail site in the county.
