Oak Grove Residents Dealing With Weekend Traffic Snarl

A tractor-trailer collision on Interstate 24 near Oak Grove has led to significant traffic congestion and an ongoing cleanup effort this weekend.

The accident occurred Friday afternoon at the 86-mile marker when an eastbound semi-trailer collided with another. One driver was transported to Jennie Stuart Health with non-life-threatening injuries, while an SUV was damaged by debris.

The recovery process was complicated late Friday night when one of the involved trailers caught fire. Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham and an environmental team remain on-site to clear spilled pet food additives and a powder paint base.
