Man sentenced to nearly 20 years for Clarksville woman’s fatal 2019 overdose

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A man was sentenced to nearly 20 years in prison for a Clarksville woman’s fatal overdose in 2019, according to 19th Judicial District Attorney General Robert Nash.

John Vandal was sentenced to 18 years in prison Wednesday after he was convicted by a Montgomery County jury of second-degree murder by fentanyl delivery following a two-day trial in January.

“The conviction stemmed from a 2019 incident in which Vandal sold deadly fentanyl to a Clarksville mother, despite knowing the drug had previously caused overdoses in others,” Nash said…
