PHOTOS: Damage reported after strong storms sweep across Middle TN

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Strong storms that moved across the mid-state Thursday night packed a punch, bringing lightning, heavy rain, hail and strong winds.

News 2 viewers, local officials and law enforcement shared photos following the storm, showing the aftermath of the severe weather that left behind downed trees and left many without power.

On Friday morning, News 2 traveled to Cheatham County and observed a tree that appeared to have snapped and crashed into a home along Lockertsville Road. It remains unclear if anyone was inside the home at the time.

Meanwhile, strong winds in Lebanon resulted in multiple utility poles being knocked down along Hunters Point Pike near Hartmann Drive, leaving several intersections without power and forcing road closures. Crews with Middle Tennessee Electric were working to restore service Friday morning…
