NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews have shut down part of Interstate 40 East due to a crash Sunday afternoon, causing delays for motorists near the border of Davidson County and Cheatham County.
According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, the incident was reported shortly after 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 19 by mile marker 192 on I-40, near McCrory Lane.

A TDOT spokesperson said the crash involved a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle.
As of 5:21 p.m., TDOT’s SmartWay traffic map shows the eastbound right lane and right shoulder of I-40 are blocked near mile marker 192. The TDOT representative said the interstate is expected to fully reopen by 7 p.m.
Metro Nashville dispatch told News 2 that two people were brought to the hospital after the crash, but there is no word on their current conditions…
