Clearwater is getting two new donut shops this summer, with the first expected to debut in June. Glaz’d Donuts is a fresh-made donut shop opening not one but two locations in Clearwater this summer. That’s right, two. Because apparently one wasn’t enough to make the point, and we respect that energy.
The two spots are at 411 S Myrtle Ave and 2006 Drew St. Both will be open daily from 5 am to 2 pm, which means there’s no reasonable excuse for showing up to work hungry. None. You have nine full hours of donut access before they close. If you’re still walking into your 9 am meeting surviving on a protein bar and quiet desperation, that’s a choice, and it’s a bad one.
What separates Glaz’d from the strip-mall chains is a commitment to doing this the old-fashioned way: everything is hand-cut, hand-glazed, and made fresh daily. No day-olds. No mystery pastries shipped from a facility in a state you’ve never visited. Just donuts, made that morning, by people who care.
