Florida Highway Patrol arrests woman on super speeder charges in new Howard Frankland express lanes

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A second “super speeder” arrest has been made on the new Howard Frankland Bridge express lanes in just a matter of days since they opened.

The Florida Highway Patrol arrested Jaelyn Moses, 22, on a charge of dangerous excessive speeding, according to an arrest affidavit. Troopers say she was caught speeding late on May 31 on northbound Interstate 275 within the express lanes, where the posted speed limit is 55 mph.

Investigators reported clocking the vehicle at 95 mph, with a second radar reading of 118 mph after the driver continued accelerating. At one point, the vehicle was visually estimated to be traveling as fast as 115 mph…
